CALENDAR MATH:  Credits

 

A few years ago, on a mail ring I belong to, Kerry, from BC, shared an idea that was meant to elicit more student participation during Calendar Time.  Kerry's teaching partner, Darlene, had created Calendar Binders for their students.  They have had much success with Calendar Binders - - and thanks to Darlene's original idea, and Kerry's sharing spirit, our students can also experience more growth and success during Calendar Time. 

I'd like to also give a shout out to BARB, a regular contributor to http://teachers.net/mentors/kindergarten/ (kindergarten board) for her Reading and Writing add-on inserts.  Barb liked the idea of the Calendar Binder, but needed to incorporate reading and writing due to district mandates. Her reading and writing inserts are a perfect addition to the Calendar Binder.
