Balanced Literacy: Shared (interactive) Writing

Shared Writing = sharing the pen with students while writing.  Shared writing happens throughout our day.  It starts with Morning Meeting and continues throughout the day.  Explore the links above for more information and ideas.  Kindergarten-specific activities can be found under the CLASS BOOKS and NURSERY RHYMES tabs.  Morning Message and Writer's Workshop provide Kindergarteners, 1st, and 2nd graders with shared writing opportunities.
